frequently asked

Tamil Nadu scholarships — quick answers

Can I stack Pudhumai Penn with a central scholarship? +

Yes — students who qualify for both Pudhumai Penn (₹1,000/month, for girls from TN government schools) and a central scheme like AICTE Pragati can claim both, since they're separate schemes with different eligibility criteria and funding sources.

Do I need to apply separately for the government college fee concession? +

No — fee concession at government engineering colleges for SC/ST/BC/MBC students is applied automatically at admission, based on your category certificate verification at the college. There's no separate application process for this specific benefit.
